About HOAs in Alaska
Alaska community associations are governed by the Alaska Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act (Alaska Stat. §§34.08.010 et seq.), which covers condominiums, planned communities, and cooperatives created on or after January 1, 1986. The Act sets detailed requirements around the declaration, bylaws, member meetings, board elections, access to records, and proxy voting. Each Alaska association also adopts its own rules and amendments. HOAproxy collects those documents and makes the full text searchable across Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, and the rest of Alaska.
