About HOAs in Mississippi
Mississippi community associations are governed by the Mississippi Condominium Law (Miss. Code §§89-9-1 et seq.) for condominiums and by general nonprofit corporation law for HOAs and property owners' associations. The Condominium Law sets requirements for the declaration, bylaws, unit-owner meetings, board elections, and access to records. Each Mississippi association also adopts its own rules and amendments. HOAproxy collects those documents and makes the full text searchable so owners across Jackson, Gulfport, Hattiesburg, and the rest of Mississippi can find the provisions that actually govern a property.
