Sea Mist a SURVEILLANCE CAMERA POLICY Mag novia y IX T7RY for LAKE WINDCREST PROPERTY OWNERS’ ASSOCIATION Purpose This policy outlines when and how surveillance cameras are to be installed, how images are to be stored and recorded, and the conditions under which stored images or video are to be used.

The objective of this policy is to regulate the use of the surveillance cameras in order to protect the legal and privacy interests of the Lake Windcrest Property Owners’ Association. The Surveillance Camera Policy and Procedures can be found on the Association website.

Policy Statements The primary use of the surveillance cameras will be to record images for future identification of vehicles in the event of legal, criminal, or policy violations. There will be no audio associated with any camera.

Only authorized personnel, as determined by the Board of Directors, will be involved in, or have access to, surveillance monitoring.

1. The surveillance cameras are intended to monitor activity of those entering the Lake Windcrest subdivision as well as but not limited to the boat ramp and surrounding boat ramp area.

2. Footage from surveillance cameras is recorded on a recording system and is not monitored in real-time.

3. Recordings from the surveillance cameras are kept and maintained by surveillance contractor and the Association for a period of 30 days.

4. Camera use will be limited to situations that do not violate the reasonable expectation of privacy as defined by law.

5. Surveillance recordings will be stored in a secure location with access by authorized personnel only. The surveillance cameras shall be regularly inspected and maintained by the licensed

6. Access to the video images will be limited to the Board, management, and law enforcement, and require anyone else to provide a subpoena or court order.

7. The cameras are not maintained by the Association as a method of providing security within Lake Windcrest.

8. The recorded images or footage may not always be available for a given location and/or time due to conditions or circumstances not within the control of the Association.

9. This Policy replaces and supersedes any previously filed policy regarding the subject matter of this Policy.

e Purchase, installation, and maintenance of the camera equipment require the approval of the Board of Directors.

e Access to data will be limited to deterrent and/or investigation of suspected criminal activity or mischief.

e Access to the surveillance camera data is limited to the licensed surveillance contractor and personnel, law enforcement, and members of the Board.

e Recorded images will be routinely checked for maintenance and will only be reviewed in the event the Board has a need to review the recorded images.

e Any person who tampers with or destroys video surveillance equipment will be subject to criminal prosecution and/or judicial action.
