1571 Gastel Drive, Mission, Texas 78572 Policy governing political display Political Signs and Flags Political signs and flags are allowed from 90 days prior to the election in which the candidate or question appears on the ballot, until 10 days after the voting is over and the polls are closed. Texas Election Code Sec 259.002 Signs may be ground mounted only; Signs may not be over 2 feet x 2 feet in size; Single or double sided signs are allowed; Signs may NOT be handmade.
Signs may NOT be affixed in any fashion to a home, fence, gate, or vegetation.
Signs may not contain roofing materials, siding, paving materials, flora, balloons or lights Signs must remain at least 4 feet from any lot line.
Only one sign per candidate or question per election.
Political flags are allowed - maximum size is 3 feet x 5 feet; Political flags may be displayed ONLY from a house mounted flag pole or in-ground flag pole.
Political flags are to remain at least 3 feet above the ground or any structure, fence, gate or vegetation when at rest.
Political flags MAY NOT be affixed in any fashion directly to a home, fence, gate, or any vegetation.
No homemade political flags are allowed.
Only one flag per candidate or question per election.
Political banners are not allowed.
Sound and lighting No sign, flag, banner or other device which produces music or sound of any kind is allowed.
No sign, flag, banner or other device shall include flashing lights, strobes, streamers or balloons.
No political sign, flag or banner may be illuminated except: any flagpoles featuring an American flag flown above a political flag may be illuminated at night in a manner consistent with traditional American flag etiquette

Fines for violations of this policy may be assessed by the Board of Directors and will be the same as those assessed for yard maintenance violations.
