Pursuant to the Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Moore Landing Property Owners Association, Inc., (“Association”) adopted on the 26th day of September, 2024 in accordance with Section 4 of the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions for Moore Landing Sec. 1, and in accordance with the Bylaws, the Board of Directors adopted the following Document Retention Policy, as required by Texas Property Code § 209.005 et. seq. The Association and its Members shall retain Association documents and records according to the following Document Retention Policy: Document Retention The Association (through its designated Property Owners Association manager) shall abide by the following document retention requirements: 1. Real estate development instruments, bylaws, restrictive covenants, and all amendments to the certificates of formation, bylaws, covenants and restrictions shall be retained permanently.
Financial books and records shall be retained for seven (7) years.
Account records of current Association members shall be retained for five (5) years.
Contracts with a term of one (1) year or more shall be retained for four (4) years after the expiration of the contract term.
Minutes of meetings of the Association Board shall be retained for seven (7) years.
Tax returns and audit records shall be retained for seven (7) years.
Except for attorney invoices, the Association shall not be required to retain or maintain attomey’s files or records pertaining to the Association, and such files/records shall not be considered Association documents for purposes of this Document Retention Policy.

a alt IOs Gi The Board of Directors of the Association may amend this Document Retention Policy at any time by a majority vote of the Board of Directors, to the extent permitted by law. All other terms of the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions shall continue to apply and shall control to the extent in conflict with this policy. No Board Members/Directors for the Association shall be personally liable for violations of this policy or for any violations of Texas law related thereto.
