May 17th, 2023 Key Points of the New S outhwood Shores POA Bylaws Effective May 10, 2023 With the vote approv ing the new By -Laws by the Southwood Shores residents , the following is a recap of the major changes : 1) The new Membership Initiation Fee is $50.00.

2) Membership Dues for 2023 -2024 are $100 per property owner.

3) There will be a 5% penalty per month for delinquent dues.

4) The user fee to obtain a key for the park and boat ramp will be $75.00. All dues and fees for the property must be paid before a key may be purchased.

5) Short Term Rental properties will pay a $500.00 fee per year to advertise and use the park and the boat ramp .

6) There will be a n annua l $100.00 Long -Term Rental fee assessed to the property owner for each rental property owned in addition to their annual dues and assessments .

7) There will be a n annual $100.00 Commercial Property fee assessed to the commercial property owner in addition to their annual dues and assessments.

8) An application fee of $50.00 will be assessed for a Deed Restriction Review of each project requiring a building permit from the City of Payne Springs.

This year, because of the delay with the by -law proce dures and the requirements of the ballot process , your total amount due should be remitted to the following address by July 1st: Southwood Shores POA PO Box 5208 Mabank, Texas 75147 -5005 We encourage all payments be made by check if possible and sent to the P.O. Box. If you wish to purchase a key for the park , please include that amount and a key will be provided to you.
