About HOAs in New Mexico
New Mexico community associations are governed by the New Mexico Homeowner Association Act (N.M. Stat. §§47-16-1 et seq.) and the New Mexico Building Unit Ownership Act (§§47-7-1 et seq.) for condominiums. State law sets a baseline for member meetings, board elections, access to records, and proxy voting that applies on top of each association's own declaration, bylaws, rules, and amendments. HOAproxy collects those documents and makes the full text searchable so owners across Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Cruces, and the rest of New Mexico can find the provisions that govern a property.
