What Marine Creek Ranch Homeowners Association, Inc.'s governing documents say
Marine Creek Ranch is a homeowners association (HOA) in Fort Worth, TX. This document is an ancillary guideline that only regulates the display of flags—it does not cover other HOA rules like parking, pets, or assessments.
- Permitted flags: Only the flag of the United States, the flag of Texas, and official military flags may be displayed. Flags for sports teams, businesses, holidays, or political messages are not allowed.
- Flag size & poles: Flags must be no larger than 3 feet by 5 feet. Wall-mounted flagpoles can be up to 6 feet long and must be attached at a 30–45 degree angle. Free-standing poles require ACC approval, must be 14–20 feet tall, and can display up to 2 flags.
- Placement restrictions: Flags may not be draped over or attached directly to structures (e.g., stapled to a fence or garage door). Wall-mounted poles are allowed on the street-facing side and the rear of the house, but no brackets for multiple poles. Free-standing poles must meet setback and distance requirements (e.g., at least as far from side property line as the pole's height, and not closer to an adjacent lot than the pole's height).
- Illumination & noise: If lit, the light must be ground-mounted, screened, point toward the flag, and not exceed a 60-watt incandescent equivalent. Flagpoles must not create unreasonable noise; owners must use noise-reducing hardware like vinyl snap hooks.
- Maintenance & removal: Flags and poles must be kept in good condition. Deteriorated flags must be replaced promptly. Poles no longer used daily must be removed.
- What this document doesn't cover: This is a partial document. It does not cover general HOA rules, assessments, architectural guidelines beyond flagpoles, pet restrictions, leasing, or parking rules.
