Sheffield Place is a condominium community in Dallas, TX — you own your individual unit and share ownership of the building's common elements. These Bylaws govern how the homeowners association is run, including board elections, meeting rules, and enforcement of community rules. Every owner and occupant must follow these Bylaws, the Declaration, and any rules adopted by the board.
- Board of Directors & Officers: The board has 3 directors elected for staggered 2-year terms. Directors must be owners (or spouses) and cannot be delinquent on assessments or have uncured violations. The board hires officers (president, secretary, treasurer) who manage day-to-day affairs.
- Meetings & Voting: Annual meetings are held in March; special meetings can be called by the board or by owners of at least 1/3 of units. A quorum is 1/3 of units represented in person or by proxy. Owners can vote by proxy. Owners delinquent on assessments may be barred from voting.
- Rules & Enforcement: The board can adopt, amend, and enforce reasonable rules for use of the property.
