Apache Lakes is a single-family residential community in Mesa, AZ. All lots are designated for private residences with a minimum floor area of 1,400 square feet. An architectural committee must approve all building plans, and there are restrictions on pets, signs, and construction timelines.
- Architectural review: No structure, fence, or wall may be built without prior approval of the three-member architectural committee. Plans must include nature, kind, shape, height, materials, floor plan, and grading. The committee may charge a one-time fee up to $10.
- Minimum home size: All dwellings (except guest houses) must have at least 1,400 square feet of floor space, excluding carports, garages, porches, and exterior storage.
- Pets: No poultry, livestock, or other animals are allowed except for up to two usual household pets per lot.
- Construction time limit: Construction must be prosecuted diligently and completed within six months of commencement. No dwelling may be occupied before completion.
- Sign restrictions: Only one 'For Sale' or 'For Rent' sign not exceeding 13x24 inches is permitted. No other advertising signs, billboards, or unsightly objects are allowed.
