What Rancho El Mirage's governing documents say
This is a supplemental declaration for Rancho El Mirage, a planned community in Phoenix, Arizona. It annexes new lots (Parcel J and Parcel K) to the existing declaration and adds a specific rule about window coverings for those lots. The document is partial—it does not contain the full set of community rules.
- Annexation of additional lots: Lots 779–885 (Parcel J) and Lots 1000–1173 (Parcel K) are added to the Rancho El Mirage community and become subject to the existing Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions.
- Window coverings: No window may be covered with aluminum foil or other non‑standard materials. Exterior window screens that give an opaque, black appearance are prohibited. Within 90 days of owning a lot, owners must install permanent drapes, curtains, shutters, or blinds on all windows visible from neighboring property. The side facing the window must be white, beige, or off‑white (except shutters may have a natural wood finish), unless otherwise approved by the Architectural Committee.
- What this document doesn't cover: This supplemental declaration only adds lots and a single rule about window coverings. It does not include the community's full governing documents such as assessments, pet rules, leasing restrictions, or other typical HOA covenants. Readers should refer to the original Declaration and amendments for complete rules.
