Suncity is a condominium in Phoenix, AZ. This 2007 amendment established a no-rental policy — though owners who were already renting at the time can continue under specific conditions.
- Rental restriction: Effective January 17, 2007, new owners cannot rent or lease their units. Owners who were renting at adoption can continue — but only until they sell, die, or voluntarily stop renting.
- Hardship exceptions: The Board may permit temporary leasing if necessary to alleviate hardship from death, transfer, or similar cause.
- Family members: Family members living in the unit are not treated as renters and do not trigger the restriction.
