What Danbury Condo's governing documents say
The Danbury Condominium is a condominium community in Garland, TX. This document is a collection of amendments to the association's By-Laws, not the full rulebook. It lists specific rule changes adopted between 1978 and 2000.
- Board member listing for sale: If a Board member lists or advertises their unit for sale, their Board position automatically becomes vacant. The remaining Board members can fill the vacancy by majority vote until the next regular meeting.
- Annual meeting date: After January 2, 1985, annual meetings are held on the second Wednesday of January each year.
- Nominating committee: In October each year, the President appoints a nominating committee of 5 members: 3 returning Board members (if possible) and 2 members from the Council of Co-Owners. Nominations from the floor are also allowed at the annual meeting.
- Parking & vehicles: Inoperable motor vehicles, motor homes, and boats are prohibited from parking or storing on the property, except for brief loading or unloading.
- Occupancy limit removed: A previous rule limiting each unit to no more than one non-related permanent resident per bedroom was deleted.
- Limited common elements & alterations: Owners and lessees may only use assigned parking spaces and limited common elements as described in the Enabling Declaration. Alterations to limited common elements (e.g., patios, balconies, stairways, exterior closets) are prohibited without Board authorization. Unauthorized vehicles in assigned spaces may be towed at the owner's expense.
- What this document doesn't cover: This document does not contain the full set of community rules. It does not include information about assessments, pet limits, lease restrictions, or other typical HOA/condo rules that may be in the original By-Laws or other amendments.
