What Canterbury Row Homeowner's governing documents say
Canterbury Row is a homeowners' association (HOA) in Flower Mound, TX. These Bylaws govern the internal operations of the HOA, not the specific rules for homeowners. For actual use restrictions (e.g., pets, parking, rentals), you must read the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs).
- Board of Directors: The Board has 3 directors, who need not be homeowners. Directors serve 1-year terms elected at the annual meeting. A majority of directors constitutes a quorum. The Board manages association affairs, appoints committees, and can amend Bylaws with unanimous vote and Town of Flower Mound approval.
- Meetings of Members: Annual meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday in January. Special meetings can be called by the President, Board, or members holding >50% of votes. Quorum is a majority of votes entitled to be cast. Each lot has one vote; proxies allowed for up to 30 days.
- Officers: Officers include President (must be a Director), Secretary, and Treasurer. They serve without compensation but may be reimbursed for expenses. Officers can be removed with or without cause by the Board.
- Architectural Control Committee: The Board appoints an Architectural Control Committee of at least 3 individuals to enforce design guidelines and the Declaration's architectural provisions.
- Amendments: Bylaws can be amended by a 2/3 vote of members or by unanimous Board vote, subject to written approval from the Town of Flower Mound.
- What this document doesn't cover: These Bylaws do not include rules on pets, leasing, parking, age restrictions, maintenance responsibilities, or fees. Those are in the Declaration (CC&Rs) and any separate rules adopted by the Board.
