• Sewage & utilities: If on-site sewage facilities are used, a permit is required. The property owner is responsible for maintenance and compliance with county, state, and federal regulations. Any underground utility must be located before excavation. Driveway culverts must be installed per county policy (minimum 15-inch diameter) and the driveway must be at least 6 inches below the road edge.
• Flood plain & drainage: Houses in the 100-year flood plain must comply with minimum finished floor elevation requirements; in no case shall the finished door elevation be below the 100-year flood plain elevation. Filling or construction within a floodway or drainage easement is prohibited.
